It is a registered organisation which started in 1981 in Cologne for promoting sports.. The Club organises
Volleyball tournaments, sports seminars and gives training and encouragement to Malayalee youth in Volleyball.
It has a strength of nearly 100 members.
Indian Volleyball Club celebrates its own Carnival in a big way when the City of Cologne celebrates the famous week-long Carnival festival.
